A state-of-the-art review on rock seepage mechanism of water inrush disaster in coal mines

Abstract Water inrush is one of the most dangerous disasters in coal mining. Due to large-scale mining and complicated hydrogeological conditions, thousands deaths huge economic losses have been caused by water China. There are two main factors determining occurrence inrush: source water-conducting pathway. Research on formation mechanism pathway direction prevent control inrush, seepage rock mass during key for research mechanism. This paper provides a state-of-the-art review mechanisms from three aspects, i.e., stress-seepage coupling, flow regime transformation erosion. Through numerical methods experimental analysis, evolution law stress fields process fully studied; fluid movement characteristics under different regimes clearly summarized; particle initiation migration explored, effect erosion hydraulic mechanical properties media also studied. Finally, some limitations current analyzed, suggestions future proposed this review.
